Wanted somewhere special to celebrate our 34th Anniversary...and boy, did we get it!! Fantastic ambience, attentive staff, great food. Kerry and David, along with the rest of the staff, make you feel most welcome. David on the piano absolutely made our evening. Will definitely be back and also looking forward to the Sunday afternoon piano violin session.
Though it is all dark at night, but the view is still quite good. I tried squid, steak and fish here. The squid is so tasty! It is really tender and flavorable! The grilled steak is a bit rough even it is cooked medium. The fish is quite ok and moist, with the aid of the cream sauce, it is tasty. And the chocolate cake is really rich in chocolate flavor! Together with the icecream, just simply delicious!
The ambience of the restaurant is undeniable the Pianist adds to the experience. Views are great at night. Went for my daughter's 14th birthday. Main Meals all around the $40 mark, Diverse and denonair meals, as you would expect not overly large in size. Sides separate. Steak and beef cheeks tasty. Duck breast quite tasteless. Prawns obviously thawed. Family rating between 6 to 7.5 out of 10.
After waiting for our food for just over an hour and a half, the ‘steamed vegetables’ were just a plate of raw vegetables: No cooking, no seasoning and no butter or oil. My husband got 12 oysters which were the smallest oysters he had ever seen and were brought out on two plates. The charged us for the garlic bread that we didn’t order that they gave us to tied us over after about an hour of waiting as well as the raw vegetables that we didn’t eat and complained about. When I did get my chicken dish it tasted good as my husband can attest to since he ate half of it as his meal was so small. I believe we complained in a very reasonable manner with no aggression but the owners attitude when we were paying our bill was bizarre and uncaring. “What would you like me to do about it?” Ummmm, act like a human, apologize and try to make amends? That would be a nice start. The good points? The staff were friendly though inexperienced and the view as always, is very good. I’ll give it one more shot because the view is so lovely. Maybe just go for drinks…… ;
