I asked for my sirloin to be medium, and it was served, to my dissatisfaction, overly well done and tough. Even the baked potato was over- done. Not a happy meal . 64
We came here for the St. Patrick's Day special menu. It was also a Yelp Elite Perk event, but it was the corned beef and cabbage that pulled me in! We arrived early afternoon, and were met at the door by the owner Don, and had our choice of almost any table in the place! Due to the COVID-19 virus global pandemic, all of the traditional March Madness has been cancelled and the bar was practically empty. Don gave us menus and brought water with lemon. We ordered the Beer battered mushrooms appetizer with Ranch dipping sauce. I had a glass of the house rose and hubby ordered a Guinness. The beverages were as expected, and the mushrooms were crispy and delicious. For our entree's, I chose the corned beef and cabbage with roasted parsnips and carrots, while hubby ordered the Georgetown Hot Brown; a traditional Kentuckian! The portions were generous and delicious. Don very easily talked us into having dessert, and the peanut butter pie we chose was light and creamy. We'd like to return in the future and try other items and see how the place is with more people in attendance. Thanks Don for inviting Yelp to your St. Patrick's Day weekend festivities!
Very disappointed. Live in the neighborhood. I go up early to watch game and they let what was obviously friends of the owners reserve every good bar seat. No announcement was made that they were taking reservations. Been nice if we all had the chance. They offered the bar chairs where you can't see TV. How nice. Will not ever be back.
Nestled in Canewood Subdivision on the golf course you'll find this little gem. I've been here several times for lunch and they never disappoint. They are independently owned and no part whatsoever associated with the golf course. Laura and her husband do a fabulous job. They have patio seating which has since been enclosed due to the cold and when Covid restrictions called for outdoor dining only. They have plenty of inside dining and a full bar. You can also reserve the space for private events. Plenty of Tv's in the bar area and patio for watching your favorite game. They have something on their menu for everyone and I highly recommend the Tomato Dill soup. Give them a try if you're ever in the Gtown area, I promise you won't be disappointed.
Wanted a nice restaurant for our anniversary. Found it online and made reservation. Unfortunately, a tour bus showed up before us and the place was very busy. But, the owner sat us and made sure we had personalized service. After our meal the owner came over and apologized for not taking better care of us, which we thought the service had been fine considering how busy they were. The food was good too and the atmosphere was chill. I would recommend going there and having a nice meal with nice people! BTW, if you think your GPS is sending you on a wild goose chase it is not. This place is out of town and quiet.
