The staff seem incredibly defeated and are struggling due to poor management. The manager talking negatively about their staff in front of customers and staff is absolutely unacceptable. In my short time in the location I watched as she berated membersinstead of motivating them. Managers should engage, motivate, and inspire employees regardless of whether it is fast food ornot. While there, the manager told one of the staff members to stop working door dash because they have customers , as thoughpeople who order door dash are not their customers. Just baffling! She appeared to be struggling under the pressure of having arush, and was taking it out on her staff. The culture seems to be damaged at this location and poor managment is the root causefor poor service (not having enough staff, forgetting items in order, not having food prepared, necessary equipment not beingmaintained drink machines).
When I arrived, there was a car in front of me that waited 22 minutes at the drive-thru. I waited 12 minutes, but the customer before me confirmed her wait time. While we were waiting, two employees were outside smoking. Eventually, they came in wearing headphones and took the lady's order before mine. Then I was told they were out of chicken and pot pies—basically everything except chicken tenders. To top it off, they had no sides available. This was at 8:44 PM, just over an hour before closing. I ordered tenders for my 3-year-old, who was starving. The tenders were cold and soggy. I called KFC's customer service line, and an incredibly helpful representative assisted me. He was the only positive part of my experience. He assured me it would be taken care of. Unfortunately, when I returned that same night, the same two girls were there with the same poor attitude. I asked for a pot pie, and the girl told me they couldn't keep them on hand—they had to make them to order, which would take 25 minutes. So, for a menu item that is supposed to be readily available, I had to wait? Then she informed me that they couldn't cook dark meat chicken until all the white meat was sold out. At this point, it was 7:45 PM, two hours and 15 minutes before closing. When I questioned why they were out of so many items, the girl stopped taking my order and handed it off to another employee who was equally unhelpful. I will never return to this location, and I will be sure to share my experience with others. It seems that management is just as unresponsive, as I have had two bad experiences without a single follow-up. Even at 7:45 PM, they had already put the chairs up in the lobby.
The staff are consistently friendly and accommodating. They have no issues preparing your food just the way you like it. And I have to say, the classic chicken sandwich is absolutely amazing!
I went through the drive-thru on a slow night, and the experience was exceptional thanks to two young ladies at the window. They had fantastic energy, which can be hard to find in fast food environments. The food was fresh and hot, and overall, it was a great visit.
