A very different kind of dining and hospitality experience: all good! The food is excellent. The service is warm, professional and personal. The owner/operator of this unique dining experience makes your visit and stay here comfortable and meaningful. If you are up for it while you enjoy dining, he is willing to share his culinary journey to bringing the Backyard cafe to life. There is no menu card to order from. You need to call ahead to place your orders for meals as everything is bought fresh from the market for preparation on the day of your visit. Your meal selection is tailored to your needs.A tad pricey, but worth every dime. When in Georgetown Guyana, please do visit.

I wasn't overly thrilled with this place. First of all, it was at night we visited and you can HARDLY see the name. Was told that's how they want it. They do NOT accept credit card.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful restaurant with the perfect island vibe. The staff and owners are nothing less than amazing. About 4 days before my arrival to Guyana, I contacted the owner via FB and let her know that my family and I would like to have our pre-family reunion dinner at Back Yard Barbecue Grill. Tere would be approximately 25 of us. She was more than happy to accommodate our large group with such short notice, she even invited a DJ for the evening. The food was great, the drinks were great and the servers were awesome. You must visit if ever you're in Georgetown, Guyana, you wont be disappointed. I'll definitely be back.

It takes a little effort to find since there is no signage. However, the food is excellent, service is great, portions are good, prices are fair. Nice menu options, cocktails and wine selections are available. This will certainly be a stop on my future visits.
