Mosquito Coast - Gent Belgie

No gluten free options, even the tacos are wheat based from Colruyt (cheapest available in Belgium). The person responsible for the dining area is arrogant and totally not involved with customer satisfaction. Triple scam.

I love this place. It was recommended to me and I am so glad. I rode my bike right by it before and didn’t notice it. Very eclectic travel safari vibes with great couches and conversation areas. I got the fried goat cheese salad and not only was it very fast but just a wonderful blend of flavor and texture. I looked at the other diners plates and next time I would get the Morrocan burger. Huge plate! Staff was busy but friendly. Another must do in Ghent.

I had a pleasant experience here, but it could’ve been even better. The interior is unique and you keep discovering fun details whilst looking around. The staff was friendly and took our order quickly. No remarks about that! The food itself was mediocre. I’ve tried the moussaka before and I really enjoyed that dish. This time around I tried the vegetarian stew. I didn’t like it at all. The vegetarian meat was tasty, but the sauce was way too sweet for my liking. It tastes a lot like cinnamon. I also tried the regular stew and I loved the taste of that stew. I do have to commend the restaurant on their array of (vegetarian) dishes. It’s nice to see a restaurant be this inclusive. They also offer kangaroo steak, which is something you can’t easily find in other restaurants in Ghent. This place isn’t expensive, but it isn’t cheap either. The price-quality relationship is good tho’. This place is ideal for a fun night of eating out with friends!

Nice place. Got our main course while still eating the appetizer nacho's so that could have been dealt with better. No cheese on the nacho's. Rib special was very good!

An exotic and exiting restaurant in the heart of Ghent. If you wanna try international food this is the place! Mosquito gathers the flavor of tropical countries in an exotic, fun and adventurer environment. I found the place particularly amazing, the furniture, the walls, the fires in seal, the maps covering around... So exiting! The price? Honestly it was so expensive from my point of view. The taste? It's good. The personal? It's nice.
