Cafe De La Paix - Gensac

We have visited this small bar several times before, the proprietor is very friendly, and when they are open lunch times can be very busy. They are also open in the evening. There seem to be less and less of these family run bars in France these days. However this one is very good, we have had drinks, coffee, and meals from time to time here, and enjoyed them. The food is good honest country cooking and a good choice, especially on Friday with this last week moules and chips and indeed fish and chips all being enjoyed by the locals.

Lovely casual place for fish and chips on Fridays. Very friendly owner who has created a lovely atmosphere. Very good value for money too.

We really enjoyed a summer evening at Cafe De La Paix. With a table on the veranda at the back, it was an enjoyable meal in a calm and special spot. Good welcome and OK staff who looked after us attentively. Food bistro style, and we appreciated the quality and care in the preparation. Have eaten here a good few times, and never been disappointed.

It was such a lovely place. We only popped in for a couple of drinks but the staff were very friendly and chatty.

Piere always has a warm welcome here. The menu is a cafe\bistro type but dont forget about the pizzas, they are a regular with the locals. There is a pool table, €1 per play. If you are looking for a view ask for a table on the back terrace or just watch the world go by out the front off the main street of Gensac
