Grom San Lorenzo - Genoa

Wanted to try some vegan gelato despite the cold weather. Shop is a few doors down from Ham Holy Burger on San Lorenzo by the cathedral. Ordered a small cup with strawberry and mandarin, which is sorbet and not actually gelato but still. Liked the strawberry but the mandarin was too sharp and not sweet. I'm just excited to try something sweet while here.

There is a board inside listing the flavors offered for the month. They also have a sign listing all the flavors and their allergens. It took some looking back and forth to figure out what was vegan that was also being offered at the time, but there ended up being like 5-6 options, all fruity. There is a dairy-free chocolate option but it contains egg.

The servers‘ english was very good and she explained to me which flavours were vegan. I highly recommend the raspberry with chocolate chips! But peach was also good and they had more fruity flavours. Just ask for the sorbetti.
