Old Mexico - Geneva

We went around approx. 5:30 in the old Mexican restaurant in Geneva AL. Prefect time to get a meal before the place filled. Order: 2 sweet tea, enchilada supreme platter, taco salad, and a guacamole salad appetizer, all tables get free chips and salsa (see attached menu for description and prices). Tea was good, I am a sweet tea addict and if you don't clean your urns daily I can say and will mention a point to it the manager. The chips and salsa were delivered immediately and no complaints, except I will want a enough salsa to pour on the enchilada and in Guacamole salad, had to pay extra, but got what I like. The enchiladas were good, they rated the taco salad as 'it was good ' the surprise of the meal was the guacamole salad. With some salsa for more heat for mine I dare surely enjoyed this appetizer, excellent!! Finally, the staff was pleasant and accommodating to my special needs. It ran me $32 and 5 dollars for tip, 15% tip, they deserved it. In any case, eat here again when you visit the quiet, beautiful city of Geneva.

The service was pretty good, and the food arrived quickly. I had a chicken Taco, which was very good; however, I wasn't a fan of the beef tacos. I think the texture of the beef was a bit unusual, not bad, just different. On the other hand, their salsa was exceptionally good, as were their nachos, which were freshly made and served warm. My husband and I love this place, especially their carne Asad and chimichangas. I would very much recommend this as a place to take the family as their prices are very reasonable as well.

Very Very good Mexican food!!! The beans and rice are authentic! The dishes are very tasty!!! We live an hour away and will make the long trip back soon because the food was soooooooo good!!!

This is the best Mexican Restaurant I've been to and I've traveled all over the country. You won't regret eating here.
