フィードバックを提供するWe stumbled in the restaurant more or less by desperation of hunger. What we encountered was amazing. The owner and his team were beyond friendly and above every expectation was the food. There is only a selected choise of dished in wintertime but every bit of it is amazing (and we know since we went back the day after.) The restaurant itself is organised in three parts. As you enter is the bar, which would not make a big impression to most on first sight, but as you walk through into the backpart, passing by the smokers area, you get into a nice and quiet room where you can eat. It's not big but nice. This is a place for everyone who likes good food/wine and an atmospehere as you were invited to someones home. Tipp: the owner is very helpfull and has a big knowledge what to see and visit in vienna
Whether in the warm season under old chestnut trees in the magnificent gastronomic garden, or as now in one of the typical old-fashioned guestrooms, in the front with the great slender you can still smoke, you always feel welcome and well-being. you have to look for a long time to be hosted comparable well. This time, peter ott, who is passionate, offered us a calf heart in root oat and recommended a red vetliener (white wine). the heart, cut into delicate tranchen, was simply to kneel down and the wee was the perfect complement. on the recommendations of the chef is left. but also without this tipps, especially at the local dishes, you can find in the clear map for almost every taste quite excellent food. who is wondering, who is in the cellar of the blue donkey also absolutely overdoing weep. we are looking forward to the next visit.
The place directly at the hadikgasse is conceivable unfavorable, but the local itself radiates the rest of the 50s and the is good. but manhood and kitchen feels called to higher and that is less good. with a tidy ground-level kitchen, the pub would probably be cumbersome every day, but so no thanks. that many others, much better. Too bad!
The gas house to the blue esel is located off the tourist corners near the castle beautifulbrunn. there are still good and typical Austrian dishes. The we are very friendly and very concerned about that of its guests. the price performance - ratio is still right here. From the outside you see the gas house very bad and you don't expect something inside. here everything has remained as you imagine a warm guesthouse of 30 years. but everything is clean and well maintained.
From the outside rather inconspicuous is the blue esel a very originally left old-fashioned gas house. the facility is partly historical, but cozy. only the toilets could use a renovation push. the service was very nice and accommodating, but not intrusive. the card is small and meat-loaded (for luck!) I can especially recommend the imiserschmarrn - for a long time no more so fluffy eaten!
