Four-arch - GELA

While driving thru Sicily, my cousin and I popped in this unassuming shop on our way to Corleone. The shop is smallish and extremely casual, nothing fancy to be seen anywhere. But the owner was a wonderful guy who served me a tinfoil plate of lasagna that was excellent, with his own home-made noodles. When I attempted to pay a bit extra (because the price was extremely reasonable) he laughed and refused the money because Padre Pio watches and sees everything . How lovely. He then fed us numerous cookies, also made by him. The fanciest (ie, priciest) restaurants did not serve better food, and he was much more enjoyable than any snooty restaurant fop!
