The Best Italian On The Parkway

Salad and pizza was spot on. One of the best cesser salads ever had. Hand made dressing. Price was right as well. Love pizza on the strip.

"A lovely authentic Italian restaurant that's perfect for grabbing a quick pizza and some garlic knots in a bustling atmosphere. It can be a bit pricey, and make sure to watch your tipping, as they only bring the pizza to your table while you'll need to get everything else yourself. We ordered the Italian Flag pizza with added vegetables, which cost an extra $2 for each topping. The pizza was delicious, but I feel the garlic knots could use some improvement."

On the topic of pricing, it was odd that they asked for a tip when we ordered. After paying upfront, we had to get our own plates, napkins, and plastic utensils (really?), and then make our drinks in a Styrofoam cup. Why would I tip for that? You don't tip at a fast-food restaurant, so why here? Before my wife and I decided to leave, we noticed a family at the next table who had brought in Subway sandwiches, and I couldn’t help but feel envious.

They have really gone down hill and charge much more. It is no longer an upscale wait table restaurant rather it is like a fast food order and seat yourself place while you wait for your order. The two $25 calzones cheese was still hard, not melted. Garlic balls hard. Kids fries greasy but $15 small cheese pizza fair. Certainly not worth $85 for 2 adults and 2 kids.

The food is fantastic! Considering it's downtown Gatlinburg, the prices are quite reasonable. We ordered garlic knots and an 11-inch cheese pizza. The pizza had the perfect amount of sauce and cheese, and the crust was deliciously and perfectly cooked. The sauce that came with the garlic knots had a nice hint of spiciness. Yum! We would have preferred a bit more garlic and parmesan on the garlic knots. We will definitely be back!
