Lotus Eatery - Gastonia

We’ve chosen this restaurant for dinner several times, and it was the perfect venue for our wedding dinner. Pat was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process! She guided us in every way possible. We set up an appetizer table and chose three main options for our guests: ribeye, salmon, and stuffed chicken. Everything was delicious! The food and service exceeded our expectations! The private rooms upstairs are ideal for events. We had an open bar, and everyone enjoyed their drinks. I highly recommend hosting your next event here or simply coming in for dinner! You won’t be disappointed!

I'm not sure this restaurant is for everyone. My friends and I sat at a table for 20 minutes, and during that time, the owner was at the bar engaged in a lively conversation, completely ignoring the service. We counted no more than 11 diners in the restaurant, yet not a single employee came by to acknowledge us. When we finally left, we asked one of the staff who the manager was, and they simply pointed to the owner, Allen. At that moment, Allen looked directly at us but never bothered to leave his spot at the bar to address the situation, showing a lack of leadership and professionalism. My first visit here was great, as I enjoyed a new drink mixed by the manager and bartender that featured Skrewball. However, this experience really changed my perception of the place. I would caution people of color to think twice before dining here.

The food and service at this restaurant are outstanding! Pat and the rest of the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The shrimp and grits were the best I've ever had. The bartender was fantastic too! The atmosphere is wonderful!

The food was fine. The staff was a bit away. Ordered a fairly basic mixed drink and it tasted like something wrong with it. Your answer was to bring the bottle and show me. Two attempts and I went to another drink. Was?t one thing until a week later when I realized that this exact thing happened when I was there a few years ago. Are you sure?re constantly trying to improve, and for some it probably a fantastic place because of its location?.but I will happen next time.

We took my mother out to eat here to have a nice dinner over the Fourth of July weekend. They possibly had the best Sushi I have tasted, but when my wife's steak was overcooked, three people came to our table at separate times and asked to see it as if she were lying about the situation to get a free meal when at no time did we ever ask for a discount. We never even sent it back to the kitchen, and were only pointing it out to our waitress since initially she was so positive that the cooks get every steak perfect! This is why she ordered it the way she did, due to the waitresses recommendation, and after this ordeal, I am not sure that we would visit again.
