Came to this place to have some native Colombian food and it was a hit and miss deal. The place itself is really nice with limited parking in the back. We ordered breakfast and the arepa was cold cheese was basically sliced and thrown on top no attempt to melt the cheese was made, no butter was used at all. Pretty disappointed since arepa to us Colombians is a staple in morning breakfasts. Steak had food flavor but me and my wife thought it was a tad overly salty. Scrambled eggs were fine. The “calentado” which is basically reheated beans mixed with rice was definitely NOT typical, we found them to have too many unnecessary veggies. me and my wife tasted a hint of the beans being spoiled a tiny bit but maybe not enough to call a manager. Also found the beans to be very soupy. Please make them typical Colombian, without carrots and all the veggies. Coffee was reported to be great with my other people in my party. Lemonade was also very good. Almojábanas were perfect! Beef empanadas were also great!! Table service was so so, the lady that served us, she was maybe in her mid twenties or so with blondish hair, not the older woman, had no type of personality. We found her to be quite dry and non engaging. The older woman was very nice, and so was the girl with dark hair. If they could work on the platters a bit this place would be perfect! I will be eventually going back sometimes and might updated this review.
Best bandeja paisa around!! Dont waste your time at Noches, come to this family owned business instead and enjoy real, non-commercialized food.
