フィードバックを提供するI was so excited to try this establishment as I 've been craving a sandwich for the longest! I love cheesesteak sandwiches and I believe I also read somewhere that the owner is a Jersey native himself so I just had to check this place out. I stopped by after work yesterday and here 's my verdict: Located in Garden Grove within a small parking lot you 'll find A Bite Of Jersey. Upon arrival we immediately loved the ambiance as it felt more like a cozy dive bar rather than your typical sandwich joint. My boyfriend ordered a 6 inch Chicken Parm sub and I opted for the 6 inch Philly Cheesesteak with provolone cheese. We also ordered some brews as well and I really enjoyed my 'Spacedust ' IPA. After we placed our ordered we were served our sandwiches about 20 minutes later. Service was overall great and I appreciated the cashier 's energetic attitude. I had quite the high expectations but as I was served my sandwich I immediately noticed the stinginess of the cheese. A lot of these pictures posted on here are quite deceiving as my dry cheesesteak lacked the cheese that I was anticipating. Now don 't get me wrong, is it flavorful? Yes. I just can 't help but feel something is missing when it comes to their cheesesteaks though... It tasted similar to my mom 's homemade cheesesteaks which is nowhere near a proper representation of an East Coast Hoagie. Perhaps if they put extra cheese and peppers to balance out the dryness then their cheesesteak would be better but the star of the night was definitely my boyfriend 's Chicken Parm sub. The chicken was crispy and they put a generous amount of sauce and cheese on his sandwich. Overall I think I may have ordered the wrong item but I 'll be back to try their Chicken California sub. I 'd still recommend anyone in the area to check this establishment out if you 're craving a sandwich (just ask for extra cheese). Support your local businesses! 3.5/5
This small restaurant makes delicious hearty sandwiches for a reasonable price! Located on literally the border of Garden Grove and Seal Beach, I'm so glad it is so near to me! Do yourself a favor and go there!
So I'm from the East Coast and hoagies are what we order! So when I saw this place I thought I'd try it! I got the cheesesteak and fries for over $18.00! So here it goes the meat tasted good the bread was good and fries were ok! What I didn't like was the size it was small for the price and the fries were a small portion! For $18.00 it felt like a rip sorry! The people were nice and were speedy service! So I was really hungry when I got my food and I wasn't even full after and stopped and got something else! I only weigh 155 lbs. so I'm not big! I don't mind dropping 18 dollars for a sandwich be nice if it was filling I ordered a large sandwich too!
We ordered tenders and fries because our son was in the chess class next door. The outside patio area was nice. The breeze was perfect (5:30pm-6:30pm). Two ladies walked out and recommended to try the Phillysteak. They swore it was better than the ones in Philly. We had visited Philly just last year and had tried multiple famous cheesesteaks there. (The owner is from Philly just without the yelling at you for not ordering right. Lol). Order freely guys. The two ladies weren't joking. The roll was light with the right chew to it. The roll was also toasted perfectly. It had a crispness to it. I could eat that roll on its own. The meat was juicy and tender. No chewy pieces stuck in these teeth. The cheese to meat to bread ratio was on point. We'll be back next week. The owner was really nice and friendly. Customer Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Bathrooms were clean: 5/5
Sandwiches are consistently amazing. Prices are higher than the menu online, I believe there 's a Covid disclaimer on possible discrepancies. My expected $38+ tax came to $48+ today. The bread is chewy and soft but substantial enough to handle a deliciously messy meatball sandwich with savory tomato sauce. Love this local spot! I appreciate the extra TLC; they put an extra rectangle of paper to hold the toppings in before they wrap it tight. : Our faves; Philly and Italian. So far they 've all been spectacular though. I 'm sort of stuck in my choices, someone else will have to taste test the rest!
