Il Vicolo - Galway

IL Vicolo was our favorite meals BY FAR from our Ireland trip!! Who knew you could get some of the best Italian food in Galway, Ireland! The staff was extremely welcoming and kind and did not rush our meal by any means. The ambiance was also so romantic and warm. We got the cheese plate and everything on it was so tasty even the items I had never tried before, like the Fig! For dinner we got the handmade pappardelle and carbonara. Everything was just right and so delicious! If you are in Galway, you NEED to visit IL Vicolo! Definitely recommend making a reservation though, because this place books up fast!

I'm normally not a fan of restaurants, but IL Vicolo is totally worth it. The food is amazing (I loved the carbonara), the views are fantastic, the staff is excellent and the jazz band was really good too. I completely recommend the restaurant for everyone around Galway. I wish we had a proper Italian restaurant like this in Dublin.

Very good, a little expensive for pasta, be careful of the exorbitant price of wine...

Very good Italian restaurant in the heart of Galway City. The outdoor seating on a dry day is absolutely wonderful. The river Corrib running past your table and back out to sea is a unique experience. It was lovely. Bruschetta and Spaghetti carbonara was the oder and I thoroughly enjoyed both with my only gripe being (Pasta as a main is too many carbs for me. That is my problem and nothing to do with the restaurants portioning! I will order it as starter or an accompanymant next time. No room for dessert either which is always not a good thing! However , I will return and attack the desserts.
