Old Strand Emporium - Galveston

Some of the best meals I've ever had were when I was tired from being a tourist, purchased a book or a brochure about the area, and then discovered a cozy, hyper-local café where I could enjoy a delicious meal and a pleasant atmosphere while recharging with my book. I recently had such an experience at Emporium Beach in the historic harbor district of Galveston. They offer an impressive selection of 247 varieties of ice-cold craft beers. I opted for a Guinness Extra Stout and paired it with a chicken salad sandwich on beautifully fresh wheat bread—plus, having classic tunes playing in the background was an added delight. Now I'm contemplating dessert before heading across the street to the railway museum.

Wonderful restaurant! The food is excellent, and the staff are very friendly. They offer a fantastic selection of beers and delicious dishes. There's no better spot to unwind and enjoy the beachfront!

I recall my childhood when my parents used to visit this restaurant frequently. There were so many wonderful things to enjoy. I'm looking forward to taking my wife there in September.
