Old Moon Deli And Pies - Galveston

I visited Galveston Gemstone on 23rd Street and had one of the best sandwiches I've ever tasted—the Porky Pine. My friend ordered the egg salad and absolutely loved it. The Old Moon is situated in a historic building in Galveston, which adds to the charming atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!

This is a tiny deli, but they make an amazing sandwich. My wife and I tried two paninis: a Reuben and the Hawaiian one (Junge Huhn, pineapple, Gouda, avocado, red onion on a jalapeño cheddar bun). Both were excellent, especially the Hawaiian. My wife also enjoyed the fresh kombucha, and they offered freshly brewed iced tea as well. Currently, there are some scaffolding in front of the place, making it a bit difficult to spot. However, it's definitely worth seeking out for a fantastic meal!

"Although the restaurant is in a building that might not stand out, don't overlook it; they serve one of the best sandwiches on the island! The food is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. My only complaint is that I ordered the Monte Cristo, which was incredible, but my husband’s choice, the Islander sandwich, was far superior to any other sandwich I've had on the island."

Some of the best sandwiches I've ever had! So glad we stopped eating here. The atmosphere and surroundings are so sweet and unique. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Overall great experience and food. Absolutely a must try!

Been going to the deli for years. Yesterday we got a turkey club, old moon Cuban, and the featured sandwich..hammertime I think? Sandwiches were great as always. Staff is always friendly and patient for first time guests. Great place to bring my family, vegan friends, gluten free friends, picky friends, etc..there is something for everyone. Staff will always correct an issue if brought to their attention. Highly recommend!
