Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. - Galveston

The servers were incredibly friendly and attentive. The fries were fantastic, and the oysters were outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I visited this restaurant to try the oysters and was impressed with everything about it. Despite there being 3 cruise ships in port, the restaurant was not crowded. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere.

My experience at this restaurant was the worst I have ever had. We went there for my daughter's 30th birthday on June 4th and waited outside for an hour, despite having a reservation. The waiter was terrible, forgetting some of our drinks and not checking on our table often. After waiting over an hour, we finally got our food, but it was not good. My lt dan surf and turf was disappointing as the plate was only hot on one side and the grilled shrimp were cold. The ribs were also burned. The manager promised to contact the general manager but never did. It ruined what should have been a wonderful birthday party. If the food had been good or the service better, we would not have been so upset. I suggest going to Fish Tales instead, where the food and service are wonderful. We regret not going there in the first place.

The food was decent, but somewhat commercial, reminiscent of Razoos. The atmosphere was fun and themed after Forrest Gump. Our waiter seemed new, so it wouldn't be fair to rate his service. Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend trying it out if you visit Galveston. I had the crab-stuffed shrimp, which was tasty and I would recommend it. My partner had the jambalaya, which he said tasted pretty good, but he wished it came with bread.
