We took a €20 tourist menu with a plate of 5 mixed starters, a decent seafood-based first course (pennette with macaw fruits) and a fish-based second course (fried prawns and calamari). The final sorbet could have been served better! Friendly and sociable staff. Small precautions for the 5th star!
I hope it was just a bad evening because as a Salento native who magnifies Puglia with relatives and acquaintances, I felt really bad. We arrived asking for a table with another couple and three women and were told to wait as some tables were becoming free. We noticed two tables free but not set but anyway we didn 't say anything... the first table is freed and the first couple is placed... we continue to wait until we are placed in the aforementioned tables... we think that the worse has passed... they bring us the menu and the table is set in installments... things are going a little better for the three girls from before who, by flirting a bit with the waiter, got a little more attention. Finally we order... I order an appetizer and my wife a grilled swordfish and grilled vegetables as a first course. My starter arrives and I think my wife 's dish will arrive with my main course. The first one arrives and no trace of my wife 's swordfish... we complain and urge... in short, I finish the first one and the swordfish is still at sea . After yet another reminder it arrives but without grilled vegetables which arrive when the swordfish has been consumed and the waiter, upon our complaints, told us that the delays were due to the fact that the dishes are all freshly made (are you sure? . The staff is kind and tries to compensate and their discomfort is evident and they often go around in circles and the owner has never been seen. I don 't want to judge either the quality or the price but I 've eaten better and for a good dinner spending isn 't a problem. I hope this serves to improve and not to write bad answers.
Very expensive restaurant for the quality served. I strongly advise against it
Put a Saturday at lunch in the historic center of gallipoli, put on it an almost endless choice of premises. and you also put that from clara you are really well. just sitting at the table ask us immediately if we want to have water, menu and wine paper. to follow the waiter shows us the fish of the day, accurately explaining the types of fish and their relative prices to the head. ears with seafood and spigola with salt cooking. both exceptionally especially the bass really melted in the mouth. for the record you are euro to the head fresh fish € the axe. account the line with the quality of food (and service. )
Located in the center of gallipoli. we ate a good salad of octopus and red shrimp. as sweet I recommend the spumone.
