Via the Lungomare Marconi you can cross the bridge into the old town of Gallipoli. On the peninsula a road leads in a ring along the coast or the harbor basin. On the south coast of the headland you reach the Lungomare Galileo Galilei , which ultimately closes the circle and leads to the castle Castello di Gallipoli , which also includes the Rivellino Tower a little away from the main building. In the alleys of the old town there are many small shops where, in addition to the usual tourist stuff , handcrafted leather and jewelry accessories are also offered. The old harbor and the fish market, where freshly caught delicacies are available for purchase every morning, are also worth a visit.

Il lungomare di Gallipoli è stato un po' una delusione. Avevo aspettative molto alte ma si sono infrante nel momento in cui sono arrivata. Ormai è una meta che ha il nome di essere gettonata ed è bella, ma non è stato così. C'è una parte del lungomare dove ci sono le giostre e la ruota panoramica. Ci sono i paninari ma niente di che nemmeno in centro. Inoltre, ci sono le rocce anziché la spiaggia, quindi ipoteticamente non ci si può neanche distendere per assaporare la brezza marina d'estate. Non ci tornerei...
