Sturdies Bay Bakery - Galiano Island

Who doesn't want to start their day off here? They have moved a few minutes from their old location and have a nice outside patio as well. We were there twice, unfortunately on the last day of our trip they had no power, oh well!!

The photo (featured) is from last year. The Bakery is now located adjacent to the Galiano Garage and across the street from the Windermere Realty office. New place has seating inside as well as outside. Prices are $$ to $$$ for locally baked goods. They often sell out, so best to check in early.

Stopped before ferry and got a Danish and some bread. Didn't have some of the choices they were offering.

They are huge. My husband and I shared one. They will save one for you if you ask early in the morning to have later.

Pork-apple sausage roll was so full of filling and flavour - same with ham-cheese scone. Cinnamon roll was classic, not too sweet or full of fillings, tender and delicious.Perfect option for when your vehicle is in the morning ferry lineup (they're only open til 3) and you need some food/coffee to get your day going.
