Nimma Nimma - Galiano Island

Absolutely fantastic. It was a delight to dine here and we can't wait to come back. The fries and fried chicken were outstanding, but the entire experience was top-notch.

I visited Nima Nima for the first time this weekend and had an amazing experience. The Filipino cuisine was outstanding, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and bursting with delicious flavors. I would definitely return in a heartbeat!

During our visit to Galiano Island, we decided to have lunch at Nimma Nimma. It is a nice restaurant where you can place your food order at the counter, and there is a separate terrace and a grassy outdoor area where you can choose to dine. We visited during the summer season. The menu changes throughout the year, so make sure to check their website for the latest offerings. We tried a few dishes, including the Lingcod bowl, Inari bags, and Seacuterie (Seafood charcuterie) platter. The Seacuterie platter included shrimp, smoked fish, ceviche, pickled vegetables, and nori. I enjoyed most of the dish, although I thought the salmon was a bit overly seasoned with dill. The Inari bags were stuffed with mushrooms and vegetables, making for a very fresh and tasty appetizer. My favorite was the Lingcod bowl, which was served on a bed of rice and vegetables, including mushrooms. It had great Asian flavors and the Lingcod was cooked delicately.

Great food and service from the restaurant. My friends and I had dinner here and Devin gave us great recommendations.

Wow Galiano has another fantastic culinary experience. For those not familiar with Galiano most of the hospitality industry is down south in and around Sturdies Bay where BC ferries arrives. Nimma Nimma is situated to the north near Bodega Ridge where firs and great cedars grow.The experience at Nimma Nimma is warm and inviting. Staff are friendly and helpful and the kitchen serves up treats from raw oysters to braised egg plant done in a traditional Philippine way. Take the ferry drive north and experience a new taste and treasure.
