L'Ispiens Port - Gaillac

We have eaten here before but not recently and were surprised by the extent of the makeover. Not that busy when we arrived but with the next 45 minutes lots of people arrive. Meal was good and reasonably priced. Thanks very much

Always very busy, a great place for steaks in Gaillac. The portion sizes are generous and the filet steak plus the entrecôte are recommended. Good service, not for a romantic meal as the lighting is quite harsh and it's a no frills sort of place. Very good value.

Popped into this restaurant with friends after a function and was amazed how busy it was. We have driven past it many times not realizing that it was a restaurant, not just a sports bar. The meals are very generous, tasty and the staff are very helpful. A great place to go when you have been out and about and don't feel like cooking. My friend and I had the hamburger which was delicious. If you want a table outside I think you need to reserve. It looks to be very popular for families. Will certainly return.

Excellent lamb, good service , pleasant atmosphere . We had a good time , it was arranged by those who know in the local car club .

What's the frill? It's a large place for a hearty family meal. Zero sophistication in the food. We were a large group, loads of burgers disappeared. Fish of the day looked ok. Steak ok too. Fries, to me, were soggy and overcooked...Steak Tartare was dry, and even if I'm not sure yet why I spent my Easter day on Immodium...I had that tartare the day before Easter at l'Ispien. Meat? Egg? Anyway, it was dry even with all I could add to make it moist. The good thing: lovely waitress. And all were pleased with their simple meal. You need to pay at the bar and the guy who cashes you in isn't friendly, he just couldn't care less. Beware of the Tartare.
