Antica Pizzeria Ciro - GAETA

Awful place! The service was atrocious. Our waiter barely said hi to us, let alone smile! It took forever for him to take our order. We ordered 2 still waters for the table and he brought us 2 carbonated waters. We sent them back but he charged us for 3 still waters. The octopus salad was gross, not cleaned very well, chewy and far too many potatoes with barely any octopus. He knew we were visitors, so he treated us with subpar service. I would never go there again or recommend this place. Go elsewhere!!

We enjoyed our dinners at Antica Pizzeria Ciro. We had reservations and we arrived early with no issue. Service was good and pizzas were delicious. We especially enjoyed the appetizers. We were seated outside and enjoyed the views by the water.

We were a group of 4 adults and 4 children, came to eat the real napolitain pizza on recommendation of our friend from Napoli who was with us. The owner placed us on a large table in corner. Himself had no mask on, was shouting at his employees across the restaurant and had no courtesy whatsoever to us. He made an inappropriate comment to us regarding the one child who had his toy on the table. The waiter came and took the order when only the s two mothers were at the table as the fathers had gone to wash all the little ones hands. He then got irritated when we told him we hadent recorded the order of one of the adults. The owner carried on shouting comments through the restaurant at his employees, for example “don’t you stay without moving xxx”. The e pizza was good, went with my husband to Napoli and admit it was comparable. They finally charged us an extra bottle of wine and the waiter was very arrogant when he admitted the fail. I would not go and spend some money there again and would not recommend this restaurant as gaeta has a large choice of lovely and friendly fresh bars and restaurants.
