Gideon Ridge Inn In Blow - g Rock

Beautiful location and Bed Breakfast. Highly recommended for lodging and dinner. Breakfast is awesome as well. Views of Blowing Rock are amazing! We had dinner reservations and stayed for breakfast. Go here about once a year either in fall or spring. Close to downtown Blowing Rock and shopping. Had the venison for our main, pate, crab lobster cake for our app and the chocolate torte cheese cake for dessert. Nice wine selection. They have added a nice gym downstairs below the restaurant that might get missed with weights and a Peloton Bike. game room downstairs as well with pool table and fireplace with lots of games and movies to enjoy.

As soon as we walked in the hostess informed us that it was only by reservation but that we were welcomed to go to the bar and get an app and drinks, which we were totally cool with. The manager then came over and told us that we needed to hurry and again that it was reservations only. They need to put it somewhere in a website that it’s reservations only, we would of opted for another place. I didn’t feel welcomed at all we came all the way from LA for my fiancés birthday and just wanted a view and wine.

I can't wait to go back! The views are amazing, the food is outstanding, and the staff are all super friendly and helpful. One of the best experiences I've ever had.

Wish our table was closer to the window for the spectacular view but unfortunately we had to look at the couple sitting across from us to see the view. It made it awkward. Parking on a tight hill; glad we had the 5:30 seating would not had wanted to drive up there and park at the 8:30 seating. Our server, Abby was fantastic! Very informative, friendly and sincere. All dishes were cooked to order. Tasted beyond awesome. The manager proficiently took care of an issue with 100% satification.

Gideon Ridge Inn is by far the best place I have ever stayed! The staff is amazingly attentive without being too much. We stayed in the Blue Room with a beautiful sunset view of Grandfather Mountain. The room is spacious and comfortable, with a Nespresso machine, but the fresh coffee each morning with the made to order breakfast is where it is at! Each morning the menu signature item changes. Perfect portions and absolutely delicious! Best grits ever, and the blueberry stuffed french toast...I don't have the words for that goodness. The Management Team is spot on as well. They reached out in advance of our stay to see if we want a dinner reservation, guests get first pick. We had dinner Saturday night, it was the absolute best meal and service we can remember having. My husband had the waygu tenderloin and I had the venison tenderloin. Beyod amazing. We will be returning. Gideon Ridge Inn is the on the annual trip list for us.
