Firehouse Subs Fultondale

This was our second disappointing visit. The quality of the sandwiches used to be excellent and worth the high price, but now the bread was not fresh, almost stale. My sandwich was overloaded with mayonnaise, and the pastrami in the NY Steamer was excessively fatty. I used to love this sandwich, so I’m not sure what went wrong. My husband was also let down by his sandwich. We’re now hesitant to come back. On a positive note, the service was fast and the staff was friendly.

I've always preferred Jimmy John's, but I decided to try Gardendale Firehouse this time. While Jimmy John's is quicker, the Firehouse sandwich was outstanding. I'll definitely give Firehouse more consideration in the future!

As always, the staff was very nice! Meat, vegetables and bread were fresh! If my family wants Subs, this is always our stop!!

Popped in a few minutes before closing just to grab a sandwich on our way from Florida to Huntsville. I wouldn't blame them if they were annoyed about the timing (I would've been the same in their shoes), but they were chill about it. The food was great, too!

IMPORTANT!!! The potato soup was delicious! The sandwich was hot and fresh!! If you want extra mayo or anything else, you might need to remind them twice.
