Without a doubt, this is the best ramen in Fukuoka. The restaurant embodies a nostalgic charm, run by a dedicated and hardworking family that never compromises on quality. It's a must-visit for anyone traveling to Fukuoka. The best part is that if you can’t finish your soup, you can get a noodle refill for just ¥150. They also serve excellent fried rice and gyoza.
Saturday, May 28, 2022 12:14:36 It is the head temple of Chan-kei, and it is a very popular store with inevitable queues in the suburbs. Arrived just before the opening time, there are already 2 to 30 customers waiting. I wrote down notes in the waiting list, and waited patiently. After 70 minutes of waiting, I was finally seated and ordered. It feels like the tonkotsu soup that has been poured into the seasoned saucer and bowl has come to Fuku-chan First, take a sip of the soup. It's a classic Hakata-style dish with a rich umami taste and a strong soy sauce flavor. It has a light taste without relying on fat, but it has a rich and well-balanced taste. The noodles I ordered at Yawa are medium-thin straight noodles with a rich wheat flavor. It has a soft and chewy texture, and the flavor is modest, so it goes well with the soup. Mmm, still delicious! The wonton is sinking below and can not be seen well. If you pick it up with chopsticks, it will fall apart. For Renge, I slurp it into my mouth, and I also slurp the soup. The contrast between the meaty bean paste and the chewy skin is also delicious. Sprinkle garlic chips a little from the middle, add a punch and slurp it up at once. Ha~ it's really delicious~ The high-quality tonkotsu ramen, which is not flashy but emphasizes balance, attracts men and women of all ages. The taste of the store that you can't pass by.

As recommended by the Fukuoka Now website, we took the subway all the way to the outskirts to try this place. We arrived at 1 o'clock on a Saturday and had to wait for 30 minutes, but it was worth it. The broth was incredibly authentic, thick, and creamy. This is a no-frills, truly local Hakata ramen spot. The chashu was thick and infused with garlic and green onions. While there was no English menu, we could easily refer to the photos in the Fukuoka Now brochure. The ramen costs only 600 yen a bowl, and they also offer 10 gyozas for 350 yen. Baked rice seems to be quite popular as well. The waiter asked if we wanted our noodles hard, medium, or soft. I highly recommend visiting if you have the time!
The taste is fantastic, and you won't regret visiting. Enjoy your experience!
