The boba took absolutely forever to get, I had to wait so long, for 1 drink. I waited about 30 minutes. The drink I also got was a mango one and there was some sort of frosting or white stuff added in that tasted sour. I don’t recommend that drink. Other than that, it was an ok experience.
We normally come here for hotpot and have always passed on this. After several times in, we decided to try it and I got the Jasmine Green Tea with Sea Salt Crème. The jasmine (at that time was nicely brewed. It had a slight bitter taste which I could tolerate because jasmine is tricky to brew. (I've found that brewing at a lower temperature with the right amount of loose leaf, is the best way to get the flavor without the bitterness. We came in 3 more times that same week because it was brewed fairly nicely! With each visit, the bitterness grew stronger to the point that when we came in for the 4th time (today , I ordered a milk tea instead to cut the bitterness. Unfortunately, that didn't work either. I think that the great tea I had brewed was a one-off. They share a waiting area and the line for Tshui-Ta literally flows into the waiting room. They would do well to have a to-go window outside as there are a lot of people who don't wish to dine in. The service is fine giving that it is an extension of J Pot. Their menu is also provided with the J Pot menu so in addition to the orders they receive at their counter, they get table orders as well. On a Friday and Saturday night, we've waited up to 10 minutes for our to-go drink order. The people working here are welcoming but they work very fast paced so that may come off as cold and straightforward. Shoutout to Luke! We watched him be very patient with new customers and answer questions as people came in. The reason for 3 stars is the inconsistency of the tea. On a side note, they might be the only one who have freshly brewed taro. The taro is nicely made but for the price, I expected a larger cup. It was less than 16oz as I wasn't filled completely to the top.
Bad service. I asked if they could do a drink with just milk and boba since they have both ingredients and they refused to do it. My friends ordered right before me and forgot to add boba to their drinks (that still hadn't been made) I asked if they could charge me for the boba and just add boba to their drinks (my friends were right next to me and wanted to try it) and they also told me no. I ended up ordering a Taro Latte and the outside of the cup was covered in syrup. Would not return.
Alrighty, now that I have visited about half dozen times, I think they are well deserving of my 5 star review. In all honesty, this is my favorite place to grab a milk tea. Why? Well because I fell in love with the peace Oolong tea with the sea salt crema and I have never looked back. I have tried the same drink at other places and it just doesn 't compare. ::sings:: Nothing compares 2 U Their hospitality is great most days. On busy days, they can be short and straight to the point. I love this tea place. Love is a word I don 't just throw around btw. Their quality and homemade ingredients make the all the difference!
