Way too expensive for something like this! $18 for two bao is just outrageous! I tried the Singaporean chilli crab and Taiwanese Gua.
Why get one bao when you can get 3 for $26 dollarsWe tried the soft shell crab, pork belly and roast duck bao.
I consider this "food to go, and food for the on the go types". It is quick to eat and healthier than a burger, or so it appears, but yet to be scientifically proven. Much depends on what sort of fillings one chooses. The options on the menu is wide, and the seasonings tasty. A fun one for those who enjoy a different experience, eating at a market, or eating standing up with friends and family. With the small portions, it is more of a "taster" type of meals, or a snack. For those who are used to the portions of foot long subways sandwich would likely need a double order which then makes this meal a pricey one.
We visited the Fremantle Markets on easter weekend and randomly choose to have a brisket Bao. Cooked on the spot, fresh and hot. Took me back to Vietnam. They do provide a small discount if you buy 3 or more.
