Goldener Sternen - Freiburg im Breisgau

Wir waren im Rahmen unserer Stammtischfahrt in Freiburg. Auf dieses Restaurant sind wir durch das Internet gestossen. Wir sind mit 9 Personen dort gewesen und allen hat es sehr gut gefallen. Urige Atmosphäre, ausgezeichnetes Essen, faire Preise und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Sehr zu empfehlen.

What a super place to have lunch! We discovered this place by pure chance whilst out on a sightseeing stroll through Herdern. The food is delicious and ridiculously good value for money: we had schnitzel, fries and a generous mixed salad for under €10! The service was perfectly adequate & the gents' toilets are definitely worth a visit (unless you're feeling squeamish about weeing into a trumpet).

Restaurant mit Biergarten und gut bürgerlicher Küche. Wir mussten leider extrem lange auf das Essen warten, aber die Protionen waren gut und es hat lecker geschmeckt.

Nach den guten Bewertungen habe ich mir viel erhofft. Leider wurde ich enttäuscht. Das Schnitzel und die Spätzle haben meinen Geschmack nicht getroffen. Ich empfand es als zäh und recht geschmacklos. Schade. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und die Lage ist auch schön.

Went with a friend to have dinner and watch a football game. You'll find a variety of authentic regional dishes and I have to say very good food and nice atmosphere. It is always a good sign seeing that locals go there to eat local dishes, means they do it well. If you're there, you'll have to go to the men's room, explanation in the attached pic.
