Mannino's Bagel Bakery - Freeport

Business has changed ownership, and the bagels have also changed for the worst. Previous owner’s bagels were very fluffy and had consistency in the dough and taste. Now the bagels are very flat no consistency and loaded with sugar. Will never buy again.

Maninos, now named Pantano's, is a great bagel and sandwich shop. I have only tried their bagels, but I have heard that their sandwiches are also very good. However, my top two favorite bagel places are still Bagel Cafe in Oceanside and Baldwin, as they consistently have great bagels.

The restaurant has recently come under new ownership and has significantly increased their prices, which I find unreasonable given the current economic climate. This decision seems particularly harsh as many people are facing financial struggles. The restaurant may have made some cosmetic upgrades, like adding televisions and changing light fixtures, but these changes do not justify tripling the prices of their food. I understand that the cost of supplies has gone up, but tripling prices seems excessive. This price increase may result in losing many loyal customers, especially those on fixed incomes, like elderly individuals collecting social security. Even with a senior discount, they may no longer be able to afford to dine at this establishment.

Their food and baked good are delicious but this is not the first time the staff does not pay attention to your order. Just paid almost $40 to have 3 danishes delivered instead of the cake I ordered. No one called me they just gave me danishes. Getting refunded through UberEats but totally disappointed

The bagels at this restaurant are always fresh and soft. I typically order the Breakfast Box, which comes with a platter of eggs, meat, home fries, a bagel or toast, and a coffee or tea. The cost is around $8. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is friendly.
