Crabshack - Freeport

My family and I have been loyal patrons of this establishment for over eight years, and I know for a fact that they have served Chablis before, even in a carafe. Due to Kerry's attitude, we ordered less food and drink than we typically would have that evening. To make matters worse, while I was in the bathroom, Kerry approached my family and repeated her claim that the restaurant has never served Chablis. It felt underhanded for her to do this while I was away. Kerry's behavior is what compelled me to write this review, as I would have otherwise chosen to overlook the incident. Unfortunately, I can’t see myself returning to this restaurant again. A once loyal customer is now lost!

Outside, they had a decent lunch special advertised, but once we sat down, we were given a regular menu instead of one featuring the special. We had to specifically ask for that menu. I also overheard another table mention that they were out of crab, to which the waitress responded by suggesting lobster. Our server wasn't very attentive. When we inquired about the dessert options included with the lunch special, she simply told us we would have to wait and see. I decided to try the General Tso's chicken, which was crispy but incredibly dry—essentially just breading with very little sauce. The New England clam chowder was more like a watery potato soup. The only dish that seemed to garner some satisfaction was the fried shrimp. For dessert, we had the choice of ice cream or tiramisù. I opted for the tiramisù, even though I'm not a fan of it, as I just wasn't in the mood for ice cream. I won’t comment on the quality of the tiramisù since I don’t particularly enjoy it. Overall, I have no interest in returning to this restaurant.

I had a wonderful day with my dad as we enjoyed lunch together. The waitress was very friendly, and we both loved the soft shell crabs; they were cooked to perfection!

They have some great special at a reasonable price. I had the soft shell crabs and a baked potato.the Crabs were cooked golden brown and they were absolutely delicious.

Went here today and the food was delicious. The waitress was very nice and friendly. The food was prepared very quick, temperature was just right. The drinks were on the money. I will definitely be going back.
