Havnens Fiskehus - Frederikshavn

Great relaxed place. And overlooking the harbour. The food, star shoots that they advertised were fine. And yet scratched. Cut out a little for the frying and wrapped with dressing. It seems slightly discount-like. Friendly (ung) staff. The table was dirty and the menu card was dirty. Maybe because it is last on the season.

Food is fine, but as an Englishman, I can confirm it’s not remotely close to Fish and Chips. They could’ve dipped the fish in cake batter and got just as close to a ‘real fish and chips’. A simple google for a ‘English fish and chips recipe’ could be good to inspire the chefs.

Went with friends to Skagens Fiskehus i Havnen....fully booked that evening..so we went the next evening instead....and sat inside..the floor is all sand .which was different and a first for us)...room cozy....the server friendly...we started with lobster bisque..quite tasty and the dinner after was OK..but had better elsewhere.
