Pecan Grove Store - Fredericksburg

We are looking for a place where we sit and have a cold beer and not all need to be showered for work on the farm. Some of our neighbours suggested it. It was exactly what we were looking for. The hotel is located outside the city, surrounded by the beauty of Hill Country. Ice cold beers, varied seats inside and outside. Retro cycle vibe inside. You can order your drinks at the small bar or at the window when you sit outside. Pets allowed on linen. Live music. Children, adults, motorcyclists, dirty from work (un), dressed... Everyone is welcome. We loved it.

We have been here many times since they opened. Rick is a great guy, very welcoming and always glad to meet all of his customers and make sure everyone is having a great time. Every year I rank the dino burger among my top three (personal list) of best burgers in Texas. Pecan Grove is the perfect setting for sitting outside, enjoying hill country scenery, while having a cold bottle of beer, a great burger, and usually some great hill country live music. Always looking forward to my next visit!

Love this place. Excellent burgers, excellent venue, pool, bikes, and the guy at the window looks like a young Kid Rock. Don't understand one reviewer's complaint about a small order of fries. Every order I've gotten here has been big enough for a platoon of Marines. And who cares about a 30-45 minute wait for a burger? Hell, they've got lots of beer!!

Learned about this place when we asked a local where we should grab dinner, and we’re definitely glad we took the recommendation! The restaurant is in an old Sinclair gas station, and the vibe is so fun. They have a pool table in the car bay and few dart boards inside. The food is classic American fare with a solid burger and DELICIOUS seasoned fries. Can’t go wrong. Oh, and for the gluten intolerant folks, they also offer gluten free buns. And impossible burgers. Really something for everyone!

By farrrrr the best burgers I’ve tried in YEARS!!! My husband and I split a blue ghost diablo and wow!!! Blue ghost is now the best burger I’ve ever had! Bar none. The fries were so good that I ate for breakfast the next morning. Lol. Even the pickiest foodie will love something here! Will definitely go back when we’re in town.
