China King - Fredericksburg

The food looked appealing, but it was completely lacking in flavor. Despite being very hungry, I found myself unable to enjoy what I was eating. It was odd, but I felt that my wife was the only person who could combine ingredients in such a way that they lost all their flavor. Unfortunately, the food at China King tasted the same. I wouldn't recommend it.

The portion of rice was 90%, leaving very little of the other dishes for the price charged. I'm sorry, but the prices at Chinese restaurants have risen significantly. However, the staff were very nice.

I'm not sure if there was a different chef, but I've been to this restaurant frequently, and the food was surprisingly bland this time—lacking any flavor!

We vacation in the Fredericksburg, VA area quite often. We have tried many of the Chinese Restaurants in the area. Today we tried China King (10-11-23). The food was excellent! The portions were great! They don't call it a lunch special but a combination platter with different offers for lunch or dinner. We got it at lunch and I took a picture of my beef with broccoli. It came with an egg roll and a can of soda. At dinner you get an egg roll AND a soup! Both times it comes with fried rice and the fried rice was delicious! The woman who took our order was fine. No issues at all. I'm sure it is helpful if you just give the number of the item you want because there could be a language barrier, but overall we will be back when we come back to this area in November.
