フィードバックを提供するWe came here the day after St Patrick's day. There was a live band that was really good and fun. There's a few vegetarian options. I got the Portobello mushroom sandwich. It came with fries. We also got the cheese curds appetizer. Everything was delicious. I tried the Earl Gray Martini, which was also very good. While the food was really good, I think it was the band interacting with the audience that made it so fun. I'd still gladly go to this restaurant without the band, but I'd prefer it with the band.
Go ahead and load up in your car and head this way. I will not lie and say that McCreary’s wasn’t my first option, but I loved that it was downtown Franklin. We loaded up and got seated in a cozy close knit room, and reminded me of my time in Ireland. We decided we would split a couple entrees a appetizer, and some soup and we were NOT disappointed. The bangers and mash are a must, and mix well with their soda bread. We then got our side cup of potato soup of the day, and it was easily one of my favorites I had. We then split the fish and chips and Jam (I think) burger. Everything was truly so so good, and we both said it was the most satisfied we have been at a restaurant in a long time. The prices are very fair and the food speaks for it. Add McCreary’s to your must go list and enjoy a great environment, good food, and great service.
Extremely rude staff. My family was completely ignored. The staff made it obvious that we were not welcome at this establishment. Complete discrimination!! After reviewing other 1 star posts it seems this is a pattern. UPDATE To Owner Response: The discrimination was toward me and my kids, at least it felt that way. My husband and I came in with our 3 year old and 1 year old. We were sat and then never spoken to again. We sat for 15 minutes or longer. Two tables came in after us and got service. Nobody came to take our order. We have been coming for years. Native to Franklin. Never again! and I have told everyone what to expect going with small children. The staff made it blatantly obvious that we were not welcome. Also just to add. The previous time we came in with, just the adults the fish n chips were just awful. Don 't know what happened there but we decided to give one more chance before leaving a review so there 's that too.
Every once in a while you have a culinary experience that just takes you back to your childhood. I've been looking for a good rendition of Irish Shepard's pie for years. I stumbled upon McCrearys restaurant this past weekend and must say Their Shepard's pie is the best I've had in years. It had an authentic flavor, came In a beautiful ceramic pot covered with cheddar cheese (you can choose swiss or no cheese). Overall the food was very high quality and service was attentive. I also tried the salmon dip cold, was tasty and fresh. I will be back very soon to try their pot pie!!!! Easily five stars
Was hoping to find a pub which did a proper Guinness pour. Although this pub says they do on their site, the pints I received I had no head and looked more like a flat soda than a proper Guinness. Fish and chips were fine. Overall nothing to write home about.
