The Recess Room - Fountain Valley

Very hit or miss with service when you sit at the bar the drinks are fantastic and handmade, the bottom is going to get one of 2 ways you get an alert that is completely aware and reviewed with you repeated, or you will receive a alert that is simply totally distracted and/or aloof as hell, and you will be ignored or overlooked repeatedly during your meal or bar experience. The food is pretty good and they do some things in/out quarterly (at least the 's my take) but it is also subject to who in the kitchen this night together with the service/servers. You just keep going with a nice selection of Asian/Fusion offers, and not too many as you see in other restaurants The atmosphere is usually somehow loud with typical bare white noise, but the lower level lighting in the evenings keeps it effortless. If you are lucky with bartender food service, you should have a pleasant evening with a great meal and wine great drinks. ?

The food and drinks were excellent, and we truly enjoyed our meal here. The waiter was incredibly attentive and pleasant. This has quickly become one of our favorite spots.

The food was excellent, especially the Wagyu Burger, and the service exceeded my expectations. The waitress was incredibly kind and attentive; she truly deserves a round of applause for her outstanding service!

The restaurant is a bit pricey for what it offers, but the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. There were only five entrees on the menu, but each one was fantastic and unique, as my party tried one of each. The dessert, which was a cereal milk cream broth, was also wonderful. However, for the experience of sitting on a bar stool and paying $100 for a drink and a steak, the atmosphere didn't quite match the price tag. That said, the staff was friendly and the food was excellent.

The drinks food were delicious! There was whiskey tasting so we got that free buzz boost. I would've gave a 4 star rating for our party receiving our dinners late--mine was last--BUT they comped some drinks and hooked it up for our birthday girl (woman! with a dessert tray so that made it worth it.
