The waitress who was working on September 16, 2023 literally asked my friends and family if they were Indian and then asked why Indians and Black people usually don’t tip (long before the check was even received and first time to that restaurant) and proceeded to talk about how her employer Green Papaya doesn’t care enough to cover the difference to meet the federal minimum wage salary (because they’re a smaller restaurant) in case they don’t make enough from tips that week.

This place was awesome. Everything we had was delicious and the service was great.
