フィードバックを提供するWe had plans today to drive Fort Lauderdale and stop at Sand Bar. We thought Subs could be the way to go to dinner. Stopped by Firehouse Subs and ordered their most popular sub, the Hook and Ladder. Well, it turned out that it is very chaotic to eat, as the sub was not very well joined together. Luckily we had paper towels on board. We're sad to report that the sub just tasted okay. Nothing to write home. It was on the Bland side and the ingredients were not mixed well. Parking was just in front of the store. There are both inside and outside. You order at the switch. I doubt we're back.
Fresh food. Good service. Overpriced. Limited parking. Helpful staff. Good soda machine. Limited choices. Not Subway but still capable. Unsure if another visit in the future. Ordered meatball sub which looked fantastic. Kids meal? Not so much. And they forgot my Krispy treats! Imagine the kids displeasure.
I went to firehouse subs on a Sunday at 1:30, I was the only person in there. there were three employees. I ordered a 6 inch meatball and a 6 inch chicken bacon ranch 30 minutes to get my sandwiches. Only one person came in for an online order to pick it up. So as much as I like to support firehouse subs because I am a Chicago FireMan I will not ever be returning to that particular fire house subs. Sorry To the owners. But service like that needs to be talked about. Note to owners, Maybe you should stop in once in a while as an owner and see what’s going on in there. Good luck in the future.
I like the subs and I know we are in an inflationary period, but they have ridiculously raised the prices to $9.49 for an 8-inch sub not including the chips/drink. Much better and faster places to get a sub for a much better price tag.
EDIT: Had a good conversation with the store owner and he was aware of some of the issues and is working on it. Really means well for the store, customers and employees, so changed to 3 stars and look forware to continued increase in quality of service. Why would you cut the sub top down? Even before the pandemic service has been shoddy at this location very slow, workers mumble, and often forget a simple request to replace dijon mustard with yellow mustard. They also didnt include the pickle spear with my meatball sub : I dont recall checking the 'add no pickle spear ' on the online order
