Carl's Eatery has done a fabulous remodel! it was like we were in our own private dining spot. The shrimp pesto linguine was so good, we almost fought over it! The prime rib was the best in borderland. If you haven't eaten here yet, don't wait...hurry down, Carl's meal are mouth watering good!
The service was good but the food was a mixed bag. My friend had the Poppers and a pizza, clearly made from scratch. I tried both and wished I had ordered the same. The Poppers and pizza were amazing! I had the Samosa and wings (barbecue and jerk), both of which were terrible. Both were bland and simply not good. I must admit that I should have known better to order since I frequently eat at authentic Indian and Jamaican restaurants in the U.S., and have had the opportunity to eat local food in those respective countries. That being said, I still don't recommend either but do try the Poppers and guessing, any homemade pizza! You won't be disappointed! If in the Fort Frances area again, would stop by but would order the Poppers and a pizza!
The food was ok. But service was poor. Although the food came fairly quickly, once it hit the table - the service stopped. After waiting quite a long time, we had to go looking for the bill and it was another 10 minutes before it came. There were only 3 other tables at the time. And to add insult to injury, my leftovers were tossed haphazardly into a box.
Our meal was amazing as was the service. They easily accommodated a gluten free meal with a variety of choices including GF cheesecake. Highly suggest the mussels, cauliflower main course and cheesecake ????. Thanks for a great night out!
