Michaels Bagels - Forest Hills

You come here for the bagels, not the service. We decided to try it one day when we passed by and noticed it was emptier than usual. We didn't see anyone use credit card so guess it might be a cash only spot. We tried an onion bagel with scallion cream cheese and ate it right away. It has a great crunchy exterior with a gently toasted interior and thick slab of cream cheese. Firm, not runny cream cheese. Plenty of scallion. Good chunk and great flavor. It was really enjoyable. We came twice one time where staff wasn't chatty (older gentleman) and another time when the staff (different employees) were great. It's all good because the bagels will speak for themselves. Almost $11 for two bagels so it depends on how much you really want that bagel. Yet another time, three bagels were $13. I do love that crunch with their toasted bagels though. Definitely look forward to going back.

I rarely write reviews, as a local I felt compelled to do so for our community hardworking folks stopping by for breakfast. This place has awful bagels! Worst in our area. I’m a very patient understanding person gave them so many chances. However, all of my experiences were the same…underwhelming in flavor, extremely overpriced, and rude service! Additionally, I’ve been charged taxes more than what’s required by New York State every time I go there!! Very shady! Last time I ordered a pumpernickel bagel it tasted like it had cumin seeds inside…ugh! Never again! Who wants to deal with all of this bagel drama (lol) first thing in the morning?? We have much better bagels spots in the area. You work too hard for your money- go elsewhere!

I live on Long Island, but visit my son and his wife in FHs fairly frequently. This am I had to get my wife her veggie cream cheese bagel. The best! And the beautiful Lana is always pleasant and helpful. Best bagels in NYC and LI.

1 orange juice, 1 toasted bagel with lox fish only and one toasted bagel with cream cheese cost me $17.00. No tomatoes, lettuce or onions. Just the fish! Absolute rip off. Either they messed up the price or they are really taking advantage of inflation. Save your money go elsewhere.
