The Chequers Inn - Forest Heath

Simply great food, tried quite a selection as plenty of things were leaping off the menu at us, and all of it was delicious. Really well prepared, extremely tasty and clearly all fresh. Didn't quite believe that all of the table sauces are home made, until we tried them! Highly recommend.

Staff were super friendly and the place is looking really nice inside again. The food was delicious, clearly a lot of effort is going in to it. Personally, I like my smoked food cooked low and slow so it falls off the bone, but that definitely won't stop us going back soon for more!

A really great place. Friendly and attentive staff, and very good service. Nice and quiet, no loud music. Glad the foodstuffs are locally sourced, for a fussy eater the menu was good and food was excellent, served nice and hot. Highly recommended, visit, order, relax and chill.

The food was amazing and the service was excellent. The staff obviously puts a lot of effort into their barbecue dishes. The homemade fries were outstanding and the hot dog was delicious! I would definitely go back again. I'm so happy I stumbled upon this place on Google.

Great food, staff is very friendly. The prices are excellent. I will definitely return when I am in the area again.
