It took over 10 min to get a waitress to get our order, then almost 30 min to get food. The menudo was bland and tasted like canned enchilada sauce, wegot no tortillas and my hubby couldn't get the attention of no waitress. He was getting super frustrated when he finally gotsomeone to come to the table. We had to ask for salt, our tortillas and oregano. I wouldn't recommend to come here on an emptystomach cause you'll starve before you get your food. The staff just stands around just chatting amongst each other. With somuch staff, they should be tending to the customers and giving them all the attention instead of standing around talking and therestaurant was not even busy.
I am going to be really honest here this restaurant is not the best and it is all that great. My wife and I woke up late wanted to try this place and honestly we should have stayed in bed. Our waitress did not check on us, we ordered Menudo and tortillas. She forgot the tortillas and condiment had to call another waitress for the items The last I checked Menudo is not supposed totaste like Enchilada Sauce. Than our waitress spent time talking another lady in a black dress and that went on for 20 minutesand they are running around like chickens and the restaurant is not even full. Maybe 10 customers including couples. I'm sorrybut from the outside looks okay but from the inside looks like a Strip Club.
I had to go up to the front to ask for our check, and they told me they would send her over. When she finally arrived, she asked for our check instead of bringing it to us—like, wait, what? We wanted our check because we were done! She then brought us the wrong receipt, which was no big deal, but it was incredibly frustrating. After that, she finally brought the correct one for us to sign. Baja California, you used to be amazing, but whatever changes you've made over the past year have really ruined this restaurant.
The restaurant featured some impressive decorations and had attentive servers. When we arrived, it was fairly empty, but it began to fill up as the evening progressed. The menu offered some appealing options, and we decided to order a molcajete, which was fantastic, along with some delicious rice and beans. The dishes had a bit of a kick, so if you’re sensitive to spicy food, you might want to choose something milder. Some of the other patrons were a bit unruly, and we could hear some inappropriate language, but I think that’s more a reflection of the crowd from Fontana than the restaurant itself. Overall, I’d recommend giving this place a try!
I arrived at opening time and was the only customer there, yet the service was surprisingly slow. It took a long time for my drinks to arrive. I thought it was happy hour, so I didn’t expect a hefty bill, but the drinks were fantastic. I enjoyed two margaritas, a piña colada, two shots of 1800 tequila, and ordered the taquitos, which were amazing! The rice and beans were among the best I’ve ever tasted. The decor and atmosphere were impressive, and there's a large parking lot available.
