フィードバックを提供するIt's difficult to describe how unique this place is. Friendly relaxed service with immaculate food. The wine from the cave Is great and a very reasonable price .Clearly very popular with the locals which is always a good sign. There are some very nice restaurants...in the Languedoc. In it's simple relaxed way Le Bistro d' Alex is up there with the best. I do not say that lightly.
This restaurant was the reason we came back to Florensac and we were not disappointed! If anything, we enjoyed our meal even more than on our first visit probably because we took a dictionary and had a little help from the waitress telling us...what the dishes were. You really need to book here, we went on a Tuesday lunchtime and it was packed! (Closed on Mondays and only open in the evenings in the Summer months) Nevertheless, we were seated quickly and an amuse bouche arrived promptly with the menu a delicious brandade with a fresh bread. The entree was a smooth parfait but the best was the lamb which was out of this world. We were so full we had to share a sweet, a lovely cheesecake. All washed down with a bottle of their own Mademoiselle rose wine. Two courses 22.50 Euros or 3 for 27.50. The wine is very reasonable too and, of course, you can buy it in the cave there. Service was not quick but, to be honest, you want to savor the food and take your time over it as the French do.
My family has a cabin in Nekoosa and when we come up, the Branding Iron is on the list of places we frequent for dinner.
I have literally have came here for over 30 years since I was about 7Still the same owners and same great atmosphere.
Took my wife there for her birthdayWe've been here many times before but I think they've gone down hill.
