It’s a 4 hour round trip for me, I never get comped rooms, food, nothing anymore. Not sure why it stopped because I would come several times a year. There needs to be a cheaper food option in the casino like before. I’m sorry to say Belterra has gone downhill since Covid, where as Horseshoe southern Indiana and Horseshoe Indy have improved!
The rooms at Belterra are comfortable and stately. I enjoyed my overnight stay and used many of the amenities available at the resort including the pool, casino, and multiple restaurants. I love that the casino has two levels with one offering newer slots and table games and the lower having many older style machines not offered at other casinos. The bar staff was friendly, as well as the servers on the casino floor.Rooms: Very clean and comfortable rooms. I loved my oversized bathroom with the separate shower and jetted tub. The phone in the toilet closet was just an added bonus.Food drinks: Many bars throughout the casino and one by the pool. There are multiple restaurants on site (five, I believe) from a grab-and-go sandwich shop to a full upscale steak house.
I live in hidden valley lake in Indiana and I love the drive to belterra but be careful the roads out on 156 good thing I left early because the road was out and I had to be on my own without no GPS so old school steps in pulled over and asked a few people drove on but I used old-school techniques and I got there 5 minutes before my tee off time beautiful course was well worth the hassle to get there beautiful course played with excellent people
I have been going to this resort since it opened. It does needs some updating in the rooms. Bed super comfortable, food is available, casino wasn't too smokey, but went on off night, check in and check out smooth, staff nice, bathroom is huge. Downfall is they need refrigerator and coffee pot in rooms and they definitely need to bring the buffet back. Will be staying again.
The room didn't have a microwave, and the refrigerator had to be turned on manually since it was on a timer. My salad included the core of the lettuce, and my four-way spaghetti chili was partially deconstructed, making it look quite unappetizing. Additionally, the hotel charged a $100 damage deposit along with a resort fee. Overall, the experience felt pretentious, and I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a genuine casino experience.
