The River Queen - Flintshire

The food at this restaurant is top-notch, with affordable prices and quick delivery. The service is also excellent. I ordered fish and chips with curry sauce and it was delicious.

I went to River Queen takeaway tonight and ordered 3 orders of fish, chips, and peas, but was informed they were out of peas. I then ordered 3 orders of fish and chips instead. As I waited, other customers were coming in to collect their orders, and after half an hour, I was told they only had two fish available. They offered me a fish cake as a substitute. It was surprising that it took them so long to realize they were short on fish. The food I received was dry and tasteless. I ended up going to another takeaway in Connahs Quay for one more order of fish and chips, but it was also of poor quality. In the end, I had 3 orders of fish and chips that were a disappointment. It was a waste of money and I was saddened to see the decline of this local business. I prefer to stick to homemade meals in the future. Their service was not only disappointing, but it was also disrespectful and rude. They could have handled the situation better instead of making me wait for so long only to inform me they couldn't fulfill my order.

This is the best Chinese food in the area. The salt and pepper ribs are absolutely amazing and beat any other ribs around. It's a great family-owned business, thank you. Can't wait to come back!

It's shocking how this place has a good food hygiene rating, as whenever I go, there is a young lad there, who plays on his phone and then touches your chips when wrapping them etc. I dont know about this lad, but my phone goes everywhere with me, bathroom, out and about, in my pocket, hell it probably gets lightly spat on, when talking. So when he is touching the phone and then your chips, erm no thanks. Worse thing is, he was also doing this during covid too. I stopped eating here a long time ago

Best Chinese takeaway in Deeside . Good food goood portions. Well priced . Tried every other place in deeside and nothing compares. Been going strong for decades.
