Auberge des Vieilles Pierres - Flers

It is many years since we last ate here but obviously we should have returned before. Invited by friends we ate an excellent lunch served in a pleasant and relaxing ambiance. Our party ate dishes across all the available menus without causing the management any...problems with the billing or the service. The latter being very friendly and efficient. The dishes were tastefully presented without being pretentious and we all agreed that it was a restaurant we would be visiting again. The wine list is well priced and included some good wines by the glass which will suit the single client keeping an eye on staying within the law. If you are in the area do not hesitate to try this restaurant.

The decor is somewhat strange (modern,) but eating and the service are amazingly good. we have eaten a few times a day and have worked quite a lot through the menus. it is true to say that there is no great choice. but what there is to choose is excellent. the pricing is very reasonable and I have not considered recommending this to others. eating is beautifully presented and the quality is excellent.

My third evaluation of this restaurant; everyone will visit better. since my last visit the facility has been greatly improved; the conservatory was converted into a custom built dining room. under floor heating, huge windows, sound-absorbing carpets and wall coverings, 10 tables in...Additional to the large dining area in the original part of the restaurant. we visited a nice, cool Sunday midday in the january. all tables full of traditional French family dinners not a tourist in itself. the sound absorbing qualities in the expansion reduced the animated chatter from 50 days to a pleasant level. eating was as excellent as visiting earlier. we chose from the menu 32 € per person.) my wife started with st jacques, I took makrele. the main course for both was the frustration of the duck with zimt birnen wow! follow from desserts, which destroyed after Christmas closures. plus a half bottle to finish bordeaux and coffee. the waiting employees are professional workers who are always present but invisible. a nice visit.

We visited this restaurant for Sunday dinner with friends during a short break to normandie. the menu choice was not extensive, but enough to satisfy every taste, our eating was more than excellent. the service was super, friendly and on cue throughout...I recommend definitiw a visit if they are in the opposite, although trusting it is worth a ride if they are not.

We drove past, spotted this restaurant and turned round to go back and so glad we did. The elegant decor, exceptional fixed price and a la carte menus plus excellent wine list makes this top of the list for when in this part of Normandy....Everything is cooked and served beautifully and the puddings are works of art. Attentive service. Well run. Worth adding to your itinerary
