フィードバックを提供するWe were lucky enough to catch the new owner just as he was opening. Hours in mid November are limited. He played the role of host and order taker, as we placed our order at the counter. When asked what he recommended he describe the walnut and mint diet of the kurobuta pig resulting in the best chop he's ever had. After a bit of friendly banter he handed us our order number and pointed us to any table of our choice. Not much has changed inside the newly named Skaliwags. It has the wooden booths and tables and gorgeously aged hardwood floor. The nearly two inch thick grilled chop was presented on a garlic-potato mash with asparagus. My husband ordered the filet mignon. Both dishes we delicious. Our host/waiter/chef stopped by several times to check in and provide additional insight on local color and locally sourced ingredients, like Amish butter. The toasted cake with blueberries and mascarpone was amazing! We look forward to dining at Skaliwags on our next visit to Fish Creek.
Trick or Treat? Ours was NOT a treat! Cafeteria-style dining. Porterhouse steak was described as 1-1/2” thick and was at best 5/8” thick, fillet steak was 1/2” thick, over salted and cold. Maybe you should go all the way with cafeteria-style and have patrons stand in line while food is cooked and then the food will be warm when ready to eat. Two steaks two glasses of wine for $160.00 with gratuity! Very disappointing expensive dinner date!

The best Door County has to offer! Chef Chris and his gang are awesome. We are returning patrons and always look forward to a delicious meal! Don't walk or drive past! You have to stop at Skaliwags. You won't be disappointed !!!
Set up like Culver's, walk in and immediately order and pay for your food. You get a number and go find a seat. Food is delivered to you later. We both had the Cuban sandwich. Ingredients were good but overall a bit dry, needs more mustard or something. Overall decent experience but not anything to knock your socks off.
