フィードバックを提供するWe were driving through the hills to Florence and looking for somewhere to eat lunch and stumbled upon this place. Possibly the best meal we had in Italy. Zero expectations, but it was full on a Sunday, which was a good sign. Sublime soup and one of the greatest steaks I've ever eaten (rib cooked over charcoals). The pictures on the wall are pretty good too (traciong cars, bike races). If you can drive to this place in a 1960s open Ferrai (at speed) this would be a life changing experience.
The place has tables outside, however, the restaurant doesn't serve food there for unclear reason. There is an English menu, however, no one from the staff speaks English. As a coperto they brought plain bread, which was completely unsalted and uneatable. Our pasta bolognese was average, and minestrone soup was good. The problem was with 2 portions of pork salsiccias, which were raw inside, so we have to return them to the kitchen. Perhaps the chief was in a rush because of big group of motorbikers arrived, nevertheless, there was no fun to sit and wait until the salsiccias are grilled second time. The house red wine was good and cheap.
I went for dinner at Passo Della Futa for the second time after a few years. We were welcomed once again with genuinely warm and friendly hospitality. The owners are so gracious. The food is second to none, fresh and homemade Italian food. I can’t compliment this restaurant, the amazing service, the food and the atmosphere enough. A must visit not to be missed !
