Trattoria Bordino - Firenze

We like to avoid the evident restaurants on the main streets where hordes of people walk by so we came to this one, not far from Ponte Vecchio. It was full of locals which is a good sign. The ambiance is very bucolic; lots of countryside tools and old flags, vaulted ceilings and the brick walls looked burned, probably this dining room was part of an old kitchen, really charming. We had a black garlic risotto with one scampi and citrus zest (16,00) it was edible OK and a Florentine steak (50,00). The meat had a very good taste but it was so chewy, we both struggled to cut and chew. The desserts were just nice but I particularly liked the pears walnuts tart. The place, as wrote before is charming but the food didn’t quite went well with us.

We were hot and tired and just needed a place to sit for a while. They were very nice and let us sit and rest. We ordered some drinks, and then some appetizers, and then dinner! Was really good and service was great!

Ho cenato con mia figlia in questo bellissimo localino, molto caratteristico e l'esperienza è stata veramente positiva dalla gentilezza del cameriere alla qualità del cibo, li consiglio vivamente soprattutto per chi ama la fiorentina! ma non solo....

Posto stupendo dove mangiare bene e di qualità. Servizio accogliente, gentile e disponibile. Consigliatissimo!
